Cut Bilingual Services?

Conservative Leader Stephen Harper denies bilingual services on Air Canada would be cut if his party forms the next government.

A letter written by a Conservative official indicates a Harper government would get rid of the Public Participation Act to allow the company more free reign as it attempts to emerge from bankruptcy. The Act forces Air Canada to offer bilingual services on all flights.

On the campaign trail in Newfoundland, Harper fended off criticism that he would be cutting services.

"That's not true," he told reporters.
