Stephen Harper's campaign hit a bump on the weekend about charges of hiding his policy intentions because of ongoing policy omissions in the Conservative Party's election policy booklet.
This time the issue arose when it was reported that the Conservatives would eliminate the Air Canada Public Participation Act. That act requires the the airline to keep its head office in Montreal to have maintenance services in Montreal, Winnipeg and Mississauga, Ont., and to offer services in both official languages.
Mr. Harper confirmed yesterday the party would eliminate the requirements for a Montreal home office and for three maintenance locales but didn't think it would impact current bilingual rules.
