Tipping The Scale?

According to a health survey of Canadians, roughly 15 per cent of Okanagan residents have a weight problem.

The survey, entitled Canadian Community Health Survey, reveals that 14.2 per cent of the adults who live in the Okanagan are obese.

It suggests that 15 per cent of the adult males and 13.4 per cent of the females in the Okanagan health region are considered obese.

An additional 35.9 per cent of the entire population is considered over their acceptable weight, while the weight of 46.2 per cent of the people was acceptable. Those who are underweight represent 1.6 per cent of the region's population.
