Dangerous Dog Fees

In Victoria, owners of dogs designated as "dangerous" will pay a $100 fee to license the animals in the Capital Regional District.

The CRD'S chief bylaw enforcement officer says a dog will only be labelled dangerous if it attacks people or other dogs and cats.

He says the fee is worthwhile, even though there are only 35 or so dangerous dogs in the Greater Victoria area.
