The scheduled flu clinic in Princeton will be going ahead as planned today at the Princeton Health Centre.
Flu shot clinics in Vernon and Summerland have been postponed for what Interior Health is calling a shortage in vaccines.
Despite comments from Interior Health just two weeks ago that there would be no shortage in the vaccines at any public clinic, three local clinics have now been delayed.
The public flu clinics in Vernon at the Schubert Centre (3505 30th Ave.) on December 4 and January 8 have been rescheduled to January 15, and the flu clinics in Summerland (St. John’s Lutheran Church) scheduled for December 4, 2014 have also been postponed with no reschedule date.
They say for those in Summerland, more flu shots have been ordered and the clinics will be rescheduled soon.
Interior Health reports the demand at those clinics for the vaccine is exceeding the current available supply, but more has been ordered and is on the way.
Vaccines are still available at other planned clinics and at many pharmacies and physician offices. They also remain free at pharmacies and physician offices if you are eligible.
The public is now being advised to call vaccine providers ahead of time to ensure the vaccine is still available at that location.

Interior Health says they would like to apologize for the inconvenience.
