Charged for discharging gun?
The owner of a home on Saucier Road is quite upset after he says a bullet nearly hit his two daughters Sunday afternoon.
According to Rex Jardine, the bullet that hit his house actually went into his daughter's bedroom.
"(someone) At a house over the ridge here was shooting at a coyote with a high powered gun. It missed the coyote and went into my little girl's bedroom," Jardine tells Castanet News.
"Two of them were there playing with their i-Pods on the bed. The shot went through the center of the window about a foot and a half above them and then into a closet."
Jardine says police told him last night what happened. He says he's upset RCMP chose not to tell the whole story when they informed the media what had occurred during a Monday morning briefing.
He didn't know the calibre of gun used but did believe the shot must have travelled between 1,000 and 1,500 feet.
RCMP Cst. Kris Clrk has confirmed the shot was fired by an 18-year-old teen at a neighbouring home.
No charges have been laid.
