As expected, Walter Gray has announced he will not seek re-election when voters go to the polls in the November civic election.
As the news sinks in attention is now turning to just who his replacement will be.
While no one has officially entered the race eight months out from election time, several named have surfaced as potential candidates.
These include current councillor Colin Basran and Gail Given, former councillor Carol Gran and former two term mayor, Sharon Shepherd.
Other names will likely come to the forefront in the coming days, weeks and months.
Bearing in mind election day is eight months away, which of the four potential candidates would you favour as the next mayor of Kelowna? Or, are you hoping a new name pops up.
