Stuart Park for New Years Eve?
On December 31st the second annual "New York New Years" arrives at Stuart Park and runs from 6-9 p.m. Free-to-attend "New York New Years" event will include skating on the outdoor ice rink, a twitter wall with a live feed (hashtag #NYEKelowna), multiple drop-in activities in the Kid's Snow Zone including the City of Kelowna's Park n'Play program, Karaoke and Wii stations, and Canadian-themed games such as "Toss the Beaver" and "Canadian Goose Egg Drop".
A favourite from last year, there will also be a snow pile onsite for kids to climb upon and build snowmen. There will also be free hot chocolate offered to the first 2000 folks who arrive at the event.
If you can't make it, Castanet will be live streaming this event and the fireworks which start around 8 p.m.
