Naked ZipZone 150

Thursday, June 20th may have been a cold and rainy day in the Okanagan, but it certainly didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the over sixty women that braved the weather to get naked on the highest zip line in North America!

The third annual Naked ZipZone 150 event, organized by ZipZone in Peachland, raised $24,000 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation to help with the research and treatment of the disease. Each and every woman on site was either a proud survivor, or was doing it in support of family, coming from as far as Vancouver and bringing friends with them to fight their fears and take the challenge. What a great example of courage and determination that also contributes to saves lives!

The zip line crosses Deep Creek Canyon, and is 381 feet high. Big thrills, adrenaline rush and smiles guaranteed!
Would you do it? Next year could be your chance to set a new Guinness World Record! Kevin Bennett, co-owner of ZipZone, as seen here with Castanet reporter Jennifer Zielinski, told me that their goal is to get over 200 participants, to set a new Guinness World Record, which currently stands at 183 naked zipliners in the USA. See Jennifer's video story here.
