A driver lost control of his vehicle and went into Okanagan Lake at around 4:40 AM Saturday morning.
No injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred North of Penticton near Sage Mesa Drive, but a rescue Zodiac was dispatched as a precaution.
Capt. Grantham of the Penticton Fire Department said that the vehicle ended up approximately 50' from shore and in about 4' of water.
The driver was able to get out on his own and there were no other occupants in the vehicle.
The cause of the incident is currently under investigation, but road conditions do not appear to have been a factor.
