by - Story: 58104

The annual Santa Presents Craft show turned out to be one of the biggest in 14 years.

The event, held at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre brought in hundreds of people from all over B.C.

Organizer Marge Noble says the event turned out better than expected.

"We are absolutely thrilled. We've had a multitude of compliments. I'm so proud of my crafters," says Noble.

"They are happy, that makes me happy, and all we can say is thank you Penticton for attending."

Noble says this show, which starts its preparation in April, is the kickoff to the holiday season in the Peach City.

"People are starting to think of Christmas earlier and we're privileged to say that we're noted for kicking off the Christmas season."

Noble says she had to turn down 40 crafters for this years Santa Presents.

Proceeds from the craft fair go to the Okanagan-Similkameen Medical Foundation.
