The community of Oliver may soon find itself without taxi service.
Oliver Council held a special hearing Monday night to address allegations against Oliver Taxi.
"The result of the hearing was that council decided the business license will be revoked effective October 1," says Oliver Mayor Patrick Hampson.
It has been alleged a driver has been working while under the influence of alcohol.
"That was the accusation that has been made several times. That was made by some of the business owners in the area that have needed a taxi, specifically Murphy's Pub. Failure to show up when called, not answering the telephone."
The owner of the taxi company was invited to the hearing, however, he did not attend.
