Temp. closure of Princeton emergency

Residents are advised that the Princeton General Hospital Emergency Department will be closed for the following 12-hour period due to physician unavailability:
8 p.m. Friday March 19 to 8 a.m. Saturday, March 20
During the hours the Emergency Department is closed, residents should take note of the following:
In the event of an emergency, call 911
Or, residents may wish to use the Emergency Department at Penticton Regional Hospital 1½ hrs east on Hwy 3 / 3A / Hwy 97
Individuals unsure about the services they require should call HealthLink BC (8-1-1) for confidential health information and advice from a Registered Nurse. This service is available 24 hours a day seven days a week.
Regular Emergency Department services will resume at 8 a.m. on Saturday March 20th.
Further Emergency Department closures could occur. Residents are advised to call 250-295-3233 before driving to the hospital to ensure the Emergency Department is open after regular hours.
