Missing person Phillip Schuhmacher has been found dead. His death is not suspicious.
Police say they have found the body of a missing South Okanagan man that’s been the subject of a wide search effort by friends and family.
Phillip Schuhmacher, 36, went missing from his parent’s Marron Valley ranch on October 3, prompting multiple organized search parties in the area off Highway 3A. Missing persons posters pleading for information on Schuhmacher’s whereabouts were plastered throughout South Okanagan communities.
Cpl. Chris Manseau said Schuhmacher’s body was found Thursday.
“The cause of death is not considered suspicious at this time,” Manseau said “The BC Coroners Service is involved in the investigation.”
Police say they are not releasing any additional information on the file.
