A new category this year will also see ultralight hulls, 45-foot boats weighing less than 200 pounds, competing.

Races Sunday will see 45 paddlers in small boat races with one and two person outrigger canoes, surf skis, marathon canoes and stand up paddle boards competing in an eight to 11 kilometre race on Skaha lake.

Racing gets underway Saturday at 9 a.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m., starting and finishing at Skaha Lake Park.
