Voting has opened for the City of Penticton’s Snap Your City Photo contest.
The contest was launched last month to help the city gather images for its new website and other publications. More than 700 photos were submitted.
“There were so many outstanding photos, it was a really difficult task to pare them down,” says communication manager Philip Cooper. “We selected photos for the shortlist that we felt would make great feature shots on the website. There were literally hundreds that we can see using elsewhere on the website or in City publications.”
Residents are invited to go to shapeyourcitypenticton.ca and select their favourite in five categories: Recreation & Sports; Arts, Culture & Events; Amenities & Place; Nature & Parks; and Innovation & Economy.
The voting period ends March 1 with the winner of each category receiving a free pass to the community centre.
