One of the two men gunned down in Kamloops this morning in a pair of separate shootings was a Penticton man, Castanet News has learned.
Friends have identified Rex Gill, 41, as the victim of one of the two fatal shootings this morning now being investigated by RCMP.
Police in Kamloops were first called to the Super 8 Hotel in Valleyview at about 6:50 a.m. for a man with a gunshot wound. Officers were then called to the Comfort Inn and Suites on Rogers Way at 8:50 a.m. for a another gunshot victim.
It’s not clear exactly which location Gill was shot at.
Police say both men died in hospital, adding it’s unlikely they will release the identities of the victims.
