The City of Penticton is auctioning off all the used furniture from the suites at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
A dozen sets are up for grabs, each consisting of one table, a side table, five chairs and a bench.
A viewing will be held Oct. 25 between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at 199 Ellis Street. Buyers will not be allowed to pick a specific set.
The city says the furniture is in “fair” condition and is being sold as is — with some chips, scratches and cracks as a result of regular use.
Bids must be submitted through BC Auctions by Oct. 29 and successful bidders must arrange for pickup by Nov. 9.
There are currently no bids entered on any of the dozen sets up for grabs, so they will likely be going for quite cheap.
