Bauer returns in squeaker

Incumbent Keremeos mayor Manfred Bauer will keep his job and serve a third term, according to preliminary results.

Bauer narrowly topped lone challenger Arlene Arlow by just 15 votes, winning 299 to 284.

Arlow previously served as councillor before running for mayor.

Councillors Jeremy Evans, Arden Holley, Sherry Philpott-Adhikary and Jason Wiebe were all acclaimed as no other candidates came forward.
