RV destroyed by fire

A fire completely destroyed an RV parked on private property just off Highway 97 in Oliver Tuesday evening.

The Oliver Fire Department was called to the blaze at about 8 p.m. arriving to a fully engulfed vehicle, said department spokesman Rob Graham.

He said crews were on scene for about 45 minutes. It was a relatively straightforward fire to extinguish.

“Just knocking everything down and keeping everything contained. It was near some grass, but it was kept from spreading.”

Cause of the fire is unknown at this point. There was no property or vehicle owner around at the time.
