Several properties in Olalla have been put under an evacuation alert due to a risk of flooding.
The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen issued the alert for nine homes due to "the potential danger to life, health, and property damage."
The properties on alert are all on 1st Street, and a list can be seen here. The neighbourhood is adjacent to Keremeos Creek, which has already breached its banks in some sections further downstream. The same area dealt with flooding last year.
Olalla is a tiny community near Keremeos that is part of Area G in the RDOS, where more than 500 properties are collectively under an evacuation alert.
