PNE Prize home unveiled

For the fourth-straight year, the 2018 PNE Prize home will be situated in Naramata.

The three-bedroom, 3,025 sq. foot home was unveiled on the PNE fairgrounds in Vancouver Tuesday, but will be relocated to the Outlook Naramata Benchlands subdivision following the draw in August.

“It’s incredible to see how far the 84-year tradition of the PNE Prize Home has come,” said Mike McDaniel, president and CEO of the Pacific National Exhibition.

“The prize home has evolved from a ‘dream bungalow’ located on Hastings street to a home with some of North America’s most innovative technologies and comfortable amenities located in the beautiful Okanagan.”

The home was designed and assembled by Westbank-based Freeport Industries and includes modern features such as an elevator, full smart-home technology and efficiencies to help cut energy use by 80 per cent.

The home’s top floor maximizes the view of Okanagan Lake with two decks, a bedroom and a large living space. The entire package is valued at over $1.8M.

Tickets are on sale now online.
