The Scotties Tournament of Hearts is only in Penticton for a short while, and organizers say it's best not to miss out.
Ken Lauzon, food and beverage manager for Curling Canada and Penticton native, is involved in organizing the HeartStop Lounge at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre, a place where the public can mingle with athletes and socialize, regardless of whether they've bought tickets to the curling.
"It doesn't cost you anything to walk through the door, we have entertainment going on that doesn't cost you a dime," Lauzon said. "Just come down, check it out, who knows, you might become a curling fan."
Live music will be featured in the lounge every evening throughout the week and weekend, and children are welcome until 7 p.m.
