Cultural festival returns

A free festival celebrating diversity will take place next month in Penticton for the fifth-straight year.

The OneWorld Multicultural Festival, hosted by South Okanagan Immigrant and Community Services, takes place on Feb. 24 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will have multicultural performances, cuisines, art project, information booths and vendors, as well as "success stories" being told by immigrants.

More than 25 countries will be represented, organizers said.

Last year, the event had its best turnout ever, with "easily" more than 1,000 people in attendance.

The public can contact 250-492-6299 for more information.
