Drunk driver rolls vehicle

Emergency crews had to rescue a drunk driver who drove off White Lake Rd. near Kaleden last week.

A 31-year-old woman was heading east when her vehicle failed to negotiate an s-curve, rolling down a steep embankment around 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 5.

“Members responded to a complaint of one person trapped inside of a vehicle that had flipped over,” said Cpl. Ted Manchulenko. “The female was actually assisted out of the vehicle by a bystander who came upon the event.”

Her 2009 Nissan Murano was destroyed, according to Penticton RCMP.

The woman suffered minor injuries and was the only person involved in the crash.

She is now facing criminal code impaired driving charges with a court date to follow.
