Last chance for charity bids

The South Okanagan Similkameen Volunteer Centre's online holiday auction is in its final days of accepting bids.

Bidding opened on Nov. 24 and ends at midnight on Dec. 10.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the most popular auction item is a three-night stay at a condo on Apex Mountain with 15 bids.

Following that is a track session at AREA 27 with the racetrack's president and founder Bill Drossos, and a 'Phillips Sonicare DiamondClean' toothbrush.

Other items the public can bid on include lunch with Penticton mayor Andrew Jakubeit, MLA Dan Ashton or MP Dan Albas, and a birdwatching session at Vaseux Lake with MP Richard Cannings.

Funds raised from the auction will support volunteer programs in the community, the SOS Volunteer Centre said.

More information on the auction items available can be found here.
