A truck in flames near Summerland
Fire crews responded to a truck in flames near Summerland this morning, blocking off traffic in both directions on Lakeshore Dr. S, next to Highway 97.
At about 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 12, two fire trucks, seven firefighters, an ambulance and two police vehicles attended the scene finding high flames and excessive smoke.
The two occupants of the vehicle were not injured, according to Rob Robinson, Deputy Fire Chief.
The male occupant of the vehicle said the transmission failed and smoke immediately started to fill up under the hood.
RCMP are still investigating the cause.
