'Talk Show' at Centre Stage

Multimedia artist Erick Thompson is hosting an entertainment variety show at Centre Stage Theatre on August 1.

Talk Show features stories, music and conversation. Thompson will act as emcee and will also interview TV and film actor Roark Critchlow (Days of our Lives, Mr. Deeds, Entourage) and Heather Davies (theatre director, writer and arts educator.)

Okanagan storytellers Sophia Jackson and Christopher Millin, along with visual artist Jenny Long will also be featured.

The Tavis Weir group will provide the live musical soundtrack and perform original material.

Talk Show provides an opportunity to engage in genuine conversation on the stage, while showcasing interesting, creative talent,” said Thompson. “The show was inspired by an eclectic mix of storytellers including David Letterman, Ellen DeGeneres and Lenny Bruce.”

Tickets are $10 and available at Rock Star District in Summerland and The Grooveyard in Penticton.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and show time is 7:05 p.m.

The event is a fundraiser for the Ryga Festival, Summerland’s performing arts festival.
