Warrant issued in drug case

The Penticton RCMP are searching for a man who was staying at the Sunny Beach Motel, after drugs were found in a unit there.

According to Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth, the targeted enforcement unit issued a search warrant on a room at the motel, to look for items related to a vehicle theft on Nov. 23.

Once inside, they found surveillance equipment, and cocaine, meth and heroin, consistent with drug trafficking.

The suspect was not in the unit at the time.

Following the search warrant, a warrant was issued for his arrest on Thursday.
