Christmas fair this weekend

The 20th annual Okanagan Makers Christmas Craft Fair and sustainable living show is returning with more than 160 vendors to the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre this weekend.

The fair, originally called Santa Presents and organized by Marge Noble, unites loyal crafters and vendors from the first shows in the 1990s and new crafters. 

Crafters and producers of jewellery, skin care products, soap and candles, home decor, clothing and accessories, paper and stationery, baking, cheese and edible items will be vending.  

Santa Claus will make a guest appearance. A number of community based non-profit organizations are participating in the show and will be recipients of financial support, including: South Okanagan Women in Need, OSNS, Discovery House and Peach City Radio.

Admission is $4 at the door. Kids 12 and under are free.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the trade and convention centre.
