Greyhound bus assault

A woman was assaulted on a Greyhound bus travelling on Highway 3A last week, according to the Penticton RCMP.

The bus company reported an incident at a stop on the highway in the Twin Lakes area on the night of Oct. 21.

Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth said a male passenger was drinking and throwing beer cans and the driver gave the person the option to get off the bus or move to the front.

While the man was getting off, he punched a woman.

That passenger said they did not want the man charged with assault but she was considering suing Greyhound.

The police arrested the man and he was released without being charged.
