A one-stop family hub that will provide a place for families to access resources and the early-years services they need is opening up in the South Okanagan.
School District 67, in partnership with the Penticton and District Community Resources Society, has announced the opening of the Okanagan Skaha Early Years Centre.
The centre will have several locations within the South Okanagan Similkameen region including Summerland Community Hub and Queen's Park, Parkway, Kaleden and Naramata Elementary schools.
The early years facilitator will also meet with families where they live, work and gather, as well as establishing the most effective times to connect and the best ways to meet.
The facilitator will also provide resources and referrals as well as opportunities for parents to learn and support one another through groups and workshops.
