Wine truck spills load

A flat-deck delivery truck loaded with cases of wine flipped on its side, spilling much of its load on a Penticton intersection, Tuesday morning.

About 9 a.m., the truck collided with a Honda Civic at Penticton Avenue and Government Street.

Firefighters, RCMP, city works crews and ambulance paramedics responded to the scene.

The truck was smoking from the impact, and the Honda came to rest up the street, with heavy damage.

An unknown number of patients were taken to Penticton Regional Hospital, and the intersection remains closed down while crews clean up.
