How else to use schools?

The Okanagan Skaha School District is planning a public meeting for input on alternative uses of school facilities.

Input is sought on six facilities being considered for closure: Carmi Elementary, McNicoll Park Middle, Parkway Elementary, and West Bench Elementary in Penticton, and Giant’s Head Elementary and Trout Creek Elementary in Summerland.

The public is invited to participate either by presentation at the meeting or by email.

Emails must be submitted by Feb. 21 to secretary-treasurer Bonnie Roller Routley at [email protected] and will be shared with the public.

The meeting will take place from 7 to 9 p.m., Feb. 22 at the Shatford Centre.

The board recently rescheduled its decision making meeting on the schools to March 9.
