Oliver car fire

The Oliver Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on Sawmill Road about 4 p.m. Monday afternoon.

Rob Graham, spokesman for the department, said when crews arrived on scene, they found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames, with its tires exploding from the heat.

The one occupant of the vehicle stayed on scene and was cared for by B.C. Ambulance paramedics.

Graham said he doesn't believe the person was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
