Grace and Pier Robotti were granted bail by Justice Patrice Abrioux in Penticton provincial court, Tuesday.
Grace is charged with second-degree murder, and Pier is charged with being an accessory after the fact in the death of Roxanne Louie.
Several conditions were imposed, and there is a $25,000 surety for each.
Supporters of Louie filled the courtroom, and there was a rally outside. Many were overcome with emotion as the decision was read out.
Laurie Wilson, a spokeswoman for the family, said outside the courthouse, "I'd like to say I wasn't expecting it, but it's not a surprising outcome. This is a prime example of Canada's shame."
There is a publication ban on the circumstances of the case.
