Unwanted LPs and 45s wanted

Peach City Radio will be holding a vinyl drive as a fundraiser for the Peach City Community Radio Society.

On Wednesday, Sept 3 the community radio station will be taking unwanted LPs and 45s. Anyone wishing to donate can bring records to the parking lot at the South Okanagan Events Centre, between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Anyone unable to drop records off, can contact [email protected] or (250) 488-9551 to arrange pick up.

For those who are looking to add records to their collection, the Okanagan Vinyl Festival is back for a third year, Sunday, Sept. 21, at the Shatford Centre in Penticton.

Vinyl collectors, music lovers and nostalgia seekers alike are encouraged to come and flip through thousands of albums that will be on hand for the event.

More than 20 individual vendors will be on hand offering records and equipment in a wide variety of styles.

Live DJs will work the room throughout the day and door prizes will include two tickets to see The Doobie Brothers live at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

Admission to the event is $2, doors are open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a special $5 Early Bird hour from 9 to 10 a.m. for those who are seeking a specific vinyl treasure.

All proceeds from the event will help Peach City Radio bring community radio to the airwaves of Penticton.
