Attention Walmart shoppers

UPDATE 1:50 P.M. JUNE 26 - According to Cpl. Martin Trudeau, the suspect in the Penticton Walmart TV theft was arrested Wednesday at 11 a.m.

The man was taken into custody, after Walmart staff saw him at the store.

He was subsequently charged with robbery and made an appearance in Penticton court, Thursday morning, according to Trudeau.


South Okanagan Similkameen Crime Stoppers is seeking information on a man who may have assaulted a Walmart employee while walking out with a TV.

The person is described as being a white male, approximately 30-years-old with short, dark hair.

He is of slender build and was wearing a black T-shirt, torn in the back, blue shorts and black shoes at the time of the alleged incident on June 3.
