A launch celebration event held by the Penticton and Wine Country Chamber of Commerce Tuesday night, drew a big crowd.
Among those in attendance at the city's visitor centre were MP Dan Albas, city council members and representatives from the business community.
"This is a lot of things happening at once," said Andre Martin, president of the chamber. "And it was certainly one of our highest attended events."
The celebration included the launching of the new chamber logo, website, membership kits, and the announcement of services and events designed to enhance membership value and improve communication.
Martin said the branding of the logo and launch of website were definite highlights.
He is also looking forward to the new Top 40 under 40 and 12 at 12 programs.
For the former, over the next 40 weeks, the chamber will be profiling young business people who make a difference. For 12 at 12, the chamber will invite 12 members to come to lunch and talk about what issues they are facing and how the chamber can work better for them.
"Change is a part of everyone's life, and we need to change if we want to stay in tune with the business community," said Martin.
