Penticton and South Okanagan
Changes at the Chamber
Sep 17, 2013 / 12:59 pm
The Penticton and Wine Country Chamber of Commerce will unveil several changes and an update of its operations at a launch celebration on Sept. 24.
The unveiling will include reveals of the new chamber logo, website, membership kits and the announcement of several new events.
"We have been working diligently throughout the summer to bring progressive changes to the organization," said John Devitt, general manager of the chamber. "We set our target months ago and are all very excited to finally reveal all that hard work to the community."
Most of the new events and services are designed to enhance membership value and improve communication.
The main feature of the launch will be the updated website and member management database.
"We are especially excited to showcase our new site," said Devitt. "The redesign will exponentially improve our service to the Penticton business community."
The redesigned website would not have been possible without financial support obtained through a partnership between the chamber and the Penticton Hospitality Association, PHA.
The partnership with the PHA is one of many the chamber has been cultivating throughout the community in recent months, according to its staff.
The celebration will take place from 5 to 7 p.m., Sept. 24 at the Wine Country Visitor Centre, 553 Vees Drive in Penticton.
