Jazz party comes to town

A festival, billed as the best jazz party in the Pacific Northwest, is coming to Penticton this weekend.
The Pentastic Hot Jazz Festival will take place from Sept. 6 to 8 at different venues in the city, including the trade and convention centre and Shatford Centre.
The 10 bands featured at the three day festival are: Tom Rigney & Flambeau, Tom Hook & The Terrier Brothers, Draga's Dragons, Le Dixieband, Gator Beat, Grand Dominion Jazz Band, Black Swan Classic Jazz Band, The Original Wildcat Jass Band, Offramp Jazz Sextet, Aged to Perfection and Lance Buller, guest artist.
Cost for Friday is $55, $70 for Saturday and $50 for Sunday. A three day pass is $105.
Sponsors include businesses throughout the city and there are also friends of the festival.
