Fire tears through complex

An apartment complex in Okanagan Falls went up in flames early this morning, but everyone was able to get out safely.

Fire Chief Bob Haddow says the blaze began around 2:30 a.m. at a small two-unit complex on Main Street and 10th Avenue – the structure is believed to be a total loss.

High winds caused problems in fighting the blaze, says Haddow, but they were eventually able to knock down the fire. The cause is still under investigation at this time.

Six people are said to have been living in the complex at the time of the blaze.
