Inmate with Penticton ties sought

A warrant for arrest has been issued for inmate Amanda Sach, after she failed to return to the Fraser Valley Institution for Women in Abbotsford on Nov. 15, following an authorized temporary absence.

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the Abbotsford Police and issued the warrant.

Sach is 24-years-old, measures 5’5” in height and weighs 146 lbs. She has a fair complexion, blue eyes and brown hair.

She has a tattoo on the upper torso of “Carson” and “Jade” on the right forearm of a cross and on the right upper arm of a skull.

She is currently serving a sentence of two years, six months, for Forcible Confinement, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Assault with a Weapon, Robbery with Violence for an incident that took place in Penticton.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Sach is asked to contact the police.

CSC will investigate the circumstances of this incident and is working with the police to locate the offender as quickly as possible.

CSC has given the police all of the information available to help arrest the inmate.
