Horse racing in Osoyoos

Hooves will pound the track again as racing returns to Osoyoos Desert Park Saturday.

The races begin at 1:30 p.m.

Organizer Pete Hormes said there will be several races including for quarter horses, thoroughbreds, a mixed race for both and standard breeds. 

There is free parking and admission comes with a program. 

The day will feature racing, betting and a beer garden.
