Boil water notice

There is a boil water notice for all residents using the Summerland Water System.

A boil water notice has been put in place for all residents using the Summerland Water System.

Recent testing by the District shows that raw water includes bacteria counts that have reached levels making the boil water notice necessary.

Interior Health is recommending that everyone use water that has been boiled, or use a safe alternative.

Water should be boiled for at least one minute and then allowed to cool before use.

This notice does not apply to anyone on the Garnet Valley Water System.

Residents will be notified when the notice has been lifted.
