Foul play ruled out at Boonstock

Foul play has now been ruled out in the death of a young woman at the Boonstock Music Festival, held in Penticton on the August long weekend, according to the BC Coroners Service.

Lynn Lorraine Tolocka, of Leduc, Alberta, died after going into medical distress at the festival on the evening of Aug. 1.

She was treated at the scene for an apparent overdose and then transported to hospital in Penticton, but she could not be resuscitated.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

According to Interior Heath, a total of 90 people were taken from the Boonstock grounds to the hospital during the recent festival.
