Boonstock patient count nears 100

The final number of patients taken from the Boonstock festival to Penticton Regional Hospital is 90, according to Grace Kucey, spokeswoman for Interior Health. 

Kucey said from July 31 to Aug. 1 there were 3, from Aug. 1 to 2, there were 17, from Aug. 2 to 3, 26, Aug. 3 to Aug. 4, 37, and from Aug. 4 to 5, 7.

She did not release information on the condition of the patients.

One of the patients, 24-year-old Lynn Tolocka, of Leduc, AB, died of a drug overdose at the festival early Saturday morning.

She was pronounced dead at PRH.

Tolocka was in Penticton as part of a birthday weekend.

She would have turned 25 on Sunday.

The RCMP is expected to release information later today,(Wednesday) on the festival.
