RCMP nab man on warrant

Penticton RCMP have nabbed a Cultus Lake man wanted on a province wide warrant.

On June 26 the Penticton Drug Task Force located 25-year-old David Urquhart; wanted on a warrant out of Abbotsford.

When Urquhart saw police he fled into a nearby townhouse where he was tracked down by the cops.

“He was found hiding in a townhouse that he had broken into on Baskin Street,” says Sgt. Rick Dellebuur.

Upon his arrest police found that the was in possession of a replica handgun, extendible baton and break-in tools.

As a result of this arrest he is facing new charges including break and enter, possession of a prohibited weapon without a license, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a prohibited firearm while prohibited.

Urquhart remains in custody until his next court appearance.
