Car accident in Penticton

Two young men from the South Okanagan were taken to hospital, Wednesday, following a car accident on Beaverdell Road in Penticton.

Cpl. Martin Trudeau said Penticton RCMP received the call around 5 p.m. and responded to the scene past the Lost Moose Lodge.

The fire department and ambulance were already on scene dealing with a white Pontiac Sunfire with the two 19-year-old males inside.

According to Trudeau, the driver lost control while turning and the vehicle flipped and ended up in a ditch.

One occupant was removed on a spinal board. Both men  were taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

Trudeau said there was no alcohol involved and there will not be charges. Speed is believed to be the main factor in the incident.
