Stolen vehicle recovered

A vehicle stolen in Penticton was recovered early Tuesday morning, In Oliver.

The Oliver RCMP were conducting patrols for impaired drivers in the downtown area when they came across a vehicle which was reported stolen out of Penticton on June 14.

The driver of the vehicle, a 34-year-old woman with no fixed address, was subsequently arrested and will be appearing in provincial court today to face charges related to theft of a vehicle and a series of other Criminal Code offences.

The subject is well known to police and is currently before the courts on charges of theft, possession of narcotics, possession of stolen property and a series of breach recognizance offences.
